This Photograph Shows The Wesleyan Chapel Edlesborough
edlesborough, eaton bray, bedfordshire, buckinghamshire
As it was when it was built in 1858 with a spire at both corners and a brick wall and brick pillars at the side. The spires and the wall along with the trees have been removed. The brick wall has been replaced with an iron fence. The houses on the left have long been pulled down. The house
( Wesleigh ) on the right was the home of Mr. & Mrs walter Gray and family. Mr. Gray had interest in the hat trade at Luton and the shed on the right was where the plaiting straws were handed out to the ladies who plaited, this helped the local women to earn a few extra shillings during the plaiting season.
